I've been so busy with work,school and Sierra's up and coming birthday party that i haven't blogged for more than 3 weeks. her party will be this coming Saturday which is really exciting because she's having a luau themed party. i already bought a few decorations from party city, I've mailed all her invites and i even bought her give aways. i ordered her cake from costco and i got a box of leis for the guests. I'm really excited because this will be a great way to introduce her to all of our relatives and friends who are coming from different states just to be with her on her special day.

i have been so busy with work now because i am working full time and also studying. days go by so quickly that i have forgotten to blog for 2 weeks. till now i haven't started preparing for Sierra's b-day and i don't now where to start. anyway it was my mom's b-day the other day and we had dinner at Free Mason Abbey. they had the yummiest lobster, Sierra ate the salad,cantalope, dinner rolls and mashed potatoes. anyway, im also searching for great deals for Maclaren strollers, my sister and i decided to buy my bestfriend a maclaren stroller here as a gift and have it shipped to the Philippines, good thing my cousin is willing to bring the stroller when she spends her vacay in the Phils next month. my bestfriend is 4 months pregnant and is so excited bec it'll be their first child. i hope i can be there when she gives birth bec she was always with me in the hospital when i gave birth.

Sierra's polliwalks

we went to the mall yesterday and i was able to get Sierra a new pair of shoes. all of her shoes are in the shade of pink so i decided to buy her another pair at stride rite. as soon as she saw the polliwalks t-rex she didn't want to try anything else. here are some shots of her posing with her shoes.

anyway, a few more weeks and it'll be Sierra's birthday , I'm still trying to decide whether to have her party in the zoo since she loves going there or at young chefs academy. I'll try to check the two venues on Monday since that's my only day off. I'd really like to finish the party preps before mid June.

We went to kmart tonight to do some grocery shopping with my sister and i ended up buying tons of junkfood. Sierra kept on grabbing chips and chocolates and kept asking me to open the candies. i actually love going to kmart because its near our house and because there are tons of stuff to buy.

anyway, for mother's day instead of celebrating it last sunday we decided to do it last Monday because that was every body's day off. we had a lunch date with my sister which was her treat at Surf rider and then my brother treated everybody for dinner at Yukai which is a Japanese buffet resto. i ended up giving mom a digital frame since that was the only thing left that she didn't have and i got myself a Balenciaga bag hahahahha I've always wanted to buy one when i was still in PI but because it was so expensive over there i decided to wait when i got to the US. anyway i still need to finish doing my homework and since Sierra is already asleep, this is the only chance for me to study my pharmacy technician book and medical terminology textbook . 4 more months and i'll be done.

i have been so busy with work and school that i can't even find the time to blog. anyway, i am finally driving but only when i go to work and when i get off from work with my bro in law and sister in the car. we also don't like going out that much right now because of the swine flu, we just found out that there were already a few cases in our area. an upscale preschool near my mom's business even closed down because a toddler had swine flu. I haven't brought Sierra to any play gyms, parks and malls just to be safe, so instead i buy stuff online. my recent purchases is a head support pillow for Sierra's car seat which im really excited to get. i'll post the picture when i get it.

my cousin is going to the Philippines for a vacation with her brothers this June and they are really excited to see their mom. they haven't seen their mother for 8 years already and they already bought their tickets, their only problem is they are scared with the swine flu. they been kidding around about getting swine flu kits to help protect them in the plane and airports. they didn't want to cancel their trips because this is the only free time they have to have a month long vacation. to make matters worst there are talks that they are only allowed to bring 1 luggage and 1 hand carry any thing else would have an extra fee which is really dissappointing because they already bought tons of gifts for their relatives. now they are deciding to mail their balikbayan boxes before they leave.

While I was at work yesterday one of my co-workers were talking about how she needs to get another part time job because of all the credit card bills that her daughter has. Her daughter was laid off from her production job and has only found a part time job that’s only enough to pay her car payments and medical bills. Her mom really wants to help her by paying off some off her credit card bills because the interest rate is about 15% which is really making it harder for her to even pay the minimum. The daughter even has problems with her taxes because she doesn’t really pay attention which is why they might need help from Tax Relief. I was quite curious so I too also went to the site to check it out; turns out they help you by negotiating with the IRS on what you can afford to pay. I’m so glad I don’t have any problems like this right now; this would be a stressful thing to think of especially when it is really hard to find good paying jobs right now. There are tons of people here in the States that have been laid off, got reduced salaries, shortened work days, and even benefits have been slashed almost in half by companies. I just hope everything gets better by the end of the year.

paid blogging

I was watching a news video on my laptop awhile ago while Sierra was taking a nap and it was really interesting because the topic was about earning money through blogging. One person was even on the street with a sign that said will blog for $$$. According to the news more people have been blogging nowadays and a lot of people are also saying that blogging is their full time job. A lot of people like me are earning extra bucks every month just by blogging and according to the news a handful of bloggers can earn up to $40 grand a month. One New Yorker said that she gets money to pay her bills, rent, food and other necessities every month just by blogging. She gets advertisements and also does paid articles in her blog. This made me really excited and I want to be active in the paid blogging word again. I guess I need to find a webhosting site to help me get more site visits for the new website that I plan to get. I used to be really active in the paid blogging area and was even able to pay my car bills solely by blogging. Now that I have more time at home I’m planning to look for more online opportunities so I could save money for the Balenciaga bag that Im eying on. I really don’t want to use my savings to buy that, I want to earn extra bucks for that before I’ll purchase it.

i had my driving lesson last Monday and the instructor said that i was doing a great job and that i should go to DMV and get my license. i tried driving last night and I'm still really nervous. i already asked my brother to help me drive again tonight, i want to practice while there aren't any cars on the road. I've noticed that when it gets dark over here you can only see an handful of cars. anyway I've been also taking claratin everyday, i just found out that i might have hay fever which is really irritating because it makes it harder for me to work. i tried Benedryl but it just made me feel sleepy which is not really good especially when i start driving. anyway,I'm currently looking for some watches at the Best of Time - Where Time Lasts Forever site because my mom plans to get another Rolex for her up and coming birthday. she actually wanted to go to a European trip but because we already have two trips coming up this year she just decided to buy something for herself. she doesn't want to be away from work that long.

anyway, i also just received my LG chocolate KG800 in the mail. I'm still charging it right now and i haven't played with it yet. i am so loving the hot pink color!!!! hehehe

driving and exercising

i just got enrolled with A affordable driving school and i start on Monday. the instructor will pick me up at 11 am and i will be having a 2 hour class. my mom and brother already tried teaching me but we just kept on fighting so we decided that i should go to a driving school instead. im already excited and really want to start driving so i could start working in the hospital by June. i'll try to post my experience on Monday night. anyway here's a video of Sierra doing the core rhythm exercise, while getting ready for work i heard my tv turned on, Sierra inserted my core rhythm exercise dvd in the player and started exercising.

outlet stores in Williamsburg

Yesterday was every body's day off so we all decided to go to Williamsburg to check out the outlet stores. i was able to buy a few Mac eye palettes and lip glosses for 30% off while my brother in law was able to buy a Burberry messenger bag and Burberry wallet all for only $500. we went to coach and there was a crowd, there were a lot of good deals but only my sister ended up buying a gold coach wallet. i bought a few items at Maidenform and my mom was able to buy a Michael Kors black dress for under $20. Sierra was also with us and she had a great time just looking at the people walking around in the cold weather. there were so much stores and so much sales but i just didn't want to spend that much because I'm saving up for our Florida trip and cruise for this year. i also called yaya and we'll start processing her visa application once she gets all her papers in Bohol. Sierra is already excited to see her dad and yaya on June.

Sierra has been doing great with comprehensive curriculum workbook i got on amazon, i teach her every am after breakfast. She loves coloring, tracing and answering the questions in the book. i did a lot of researching first before buying this one because there are so much books in the market for preschoolers. it has 4 sections; basic skills, writing, reading and math and it also makes it easier for me to teach her because the workbook itself is easy to understand. she loves the colorful pictures and it only takes me 30 - 45 minutes to teach her the four sections everyday. anyway, i need to get back with surfing the net for a Torrance Plastic Surgeon for a friend.

wood cabinet

I have been going to a lot a furniture stores with my sister’s mother in law to look for new furniture and decorations for the restaurant. We already bought a lot of new curtains and table cloths but we still need a huge cabinet to put some other store items. We are trying to make the restaurant look more inviting especially this coming Easter. We even had new signs made which we ordered last Monday. Anyway while searching on the net I happened to see this simple but sturdy bookcase at western furniture which we could use for the restaurant. It really matches the Filipino theme and the wood is exactly like the other furniture we already have.

Virginia Zoo Family pass

it was my day off today and my mom came home early so we decided to go to the zoo. i decided to get the $55 family pass which allows 2 adults and each members child/ grandchild to enter the zoo for free for one year. i wrote my name and my mom's name so sierra and my younger sister could have an all year pass for the zoo and for other zoo's in different states. we spent a good two hours inside the zoo and I'm glad i brought Sierra's stroller. my mom , Sierra and i rode a train inside the zoo which only cost $2 each but Sierra had so much fun. we had such a great time that i decided to buy another family pass as a gift for my cousin and nephew who will be having a birthday party at chuckie cheese on Saturday. I'll post some pics tom. This is one of the best purchases for me because we get to visit the zoo anytime we want for one whole year.

$10 YSL perfume

i went with my mom and Sierra to Costco today to buy all the vitamins that my fil requested. I'll be shipping their balikbayan box on Monday. we also went to TJ maxx to buy a few items and to my surprise they had a YSL Babydoll perfume on the clearance rack. it normally costs $39 but they were selling it for $10 so i immediately bought it hahaha I'm sure i can give this as a gift to one of my friends.

my sister swapped her Acer Aspire one netbook for one of my LV bags. she decided to get my Damier speedy and i was so glad she gave me her netbook, she just bought that the other day. i guess after realizing that her husband's Mac laptop was enough for them she decided to trade it with one of my bags or just return it back to the store. i just said i'll take it because my other sister could use it for school. i rarely change my bags nowadays, most of the time i just use my Prada or lv body bag and let Sierra use her Bratz bag for her stuff. Sierra loves holding her own bag, she even tells me to make sure i have all of her stuff inside.

Sierra's green card

i forgot to post last week that Sierra got her Green card, she is already a US citizen which is why I'm confused why they still sent her a green card. anyway, they said that it doesn't matter because once she entered Detroit last march 2 which is her port of entry she already became a US citizen. I'm just waiting for her Social Security number which they say will arrive in 6 weeks.

i went to work today and my brother in law's sister dropped by with her daughter. she was wearing these really cute pair of boots and i immediately went online when i got home. i found these Chinese Laundry Tahoe boots and they were on sale.the original price was $99 and i got it for $32 hahaha i chose the brown one to match my Lv and Gucci bags. im really excited to start wearing it at work, since i don't get out that much anymore.

my mom finally moved all her clothes and stuff to her room downstairs and now Sierra and i have her master bedroom hahaha we actually have 5 bedrooms in our home but my mom made one room downstairs into her walk in closet which is why she ended up sleeping downstairs. today was my day off and i got the chance to clean the whole room and organize all of my clothes and all of Sierra's stuff. I'm so glad i have tons of cabinets in my room making it easier for me to hide all of Sierra's toys when she doesn't play with them. the only thing i need right now is a very large mirror, I'll try to go to target tom and check if they have one.

im in search for a new moisturizer because the one im using right now which is Kanebo is not helping my skin. i guess because of the cold weather i need to find a moisturizer that is a bit creamier. Kanebo's moisturizer is a bit watery and i tend to use it when i don't have any make up on, i use Nivea moisturizer under my make up and i have been a fan for 5 years now. right now i already have my eye on Elizabeth Arden's Millenium night cream and eye cream but my sister told me to try out Arbonne, Egyptian cream and to also check out Emerge Labs Organic Skin Care. im still looking at my budget on how much i can spend on my skincare especially now that i just bought a lot of stuff for Sierra. i'll try to check out all the other brands first before i decide getting the Elizabeth Arden.

i'll start working tom so i decided to buy some toys for Sierra to keep her busy while im gone. i left all of her toys in the Phils. because we had no more space. my brother didn't have work today so he help me choose what toys to get for Sierra. we headed to Toysrus and i was able to get Sierra a Fisher Price kitchen set and a leapfrog alphabet magnetic toy. i also decided to get her a second car seat and she likes this better than the one my mom bought her a few weeks back.

Gas prices have been increasing every week and I have been kidding around with my brother about him getting a big bike instead. I was showing the motorcycle that Nicholas Cage was using in Ghost rider and I was telling him how cool it would be if he had one of those. I’m sure my mom will freak out if ever he does get an interest in trying to ride in one. Any way I tried looking at a metric motorcycle community and the bike on the first page were really cool. we went to Best Buy awhile ago to buy a laptop for my mom. she got a Toshiba and plans to use it when she is at the spa so she could use it on her free time. i got a Philips portable DVD player for Sierra and it was color pink which she really adores. now everybody can use the TV, Sierra has been changing the channels whenever other people use the TV. she keeps saying that her DVD player is her laptop.
